If you’ve looked at the list of services we provide here at King’s Crown, you’ve probably noticed a service called “Never Say De-Feet”. Now, you might be wondering to yourself: What is that? Essentially, the Never Say De-Feet service is a pedicure especially catered to men’s feet. Here’s what you could expect from a foot detailing.
THE SOAK

To begin, your aesthetician will start by soaking both your feet in a bath of epsom salt, soap and essential oils.
Epsom salt is known to relax your muscles and the water and soap will soften your cuticles and will loosen any dead skin, dirt and dust on your toes and feet.
Throughout your service, your feet will soak in between steps of your foot detailing.
CUT AND FILE

After your feet have been soaking for a few minutes, your aesthetician will then cut your toenails and file them.
CUTICLES

Cuticle softener will then be placed on each of your nails and the soles of your feet. Your aesthetician will then push your cuticles back and cut them with a cuticle nipper.
Cuticles (i.e. the layer of clear skin along the bottom edge of your toes, or the nail bed), is the hard skin build-up around your nail folds and under the free edge of your toenails. Pushing back your cuticles will clear any dead skin cells on the surface of your nail and cutting them will encourage stronger nail growth.
BUFFING

Next, your aesthetician will buff your nails and apply cuticle oil on each nail.
There are a number of benefits to buffing your nails; for instance, doing so can increase the blood circulation of your nail beds - which encourages better nail growth. Buffing your nails also gives them a natural sheen, and helps to remove any surface stains. And adding cuticle oil also promotes blood flow.
SCRUB AND EXFOLIATE

Your aesthetician will then scrub the bottom of your feet with a foot scrubber and exfoliate them with a sugar scrub. The excess product and residue will then be removed with a hot towel.
This step removes dead skin, deters calluses, prevents your pores from being clogged, and maintains your foot health - leaving your feet nice and soft.
FOOT MASSAGE

Lastly, your service will then be finished off with a foot massage and another hot towel. Truthfully, this is so relaxing its the best part!
HOW A FOOT DETAILING CAN BENEFIT YOU

Not only does a foot detailing leave your feet looking younger and softer, but it also helps maintain your foot health. For instance, every step in the services contributes to the improvement of blood flow, which reduces cellulite, tightens your skin, and strengthens your muscles - ultimately improving the appearance of your feet.
In addition, a regular foot detailing helps prevent infections; the process gets rid of the cracks that may form in your feet, and the cleaning and cutting prevents ingrown nails.
A foot detailing can also help with any back pains you may have. Calluses can affect the body weight distribution that causes back pains, and the removal from the scrub and exfoliate can help alleviate these pains.
A foot detailing is a great way to pamper yourself!
