STAYING IN
Staying in is always an option for the night, and the preference for a lot of couples we know, especially since February 14 falls on a Monday. Just because you’re staying in, doesn’t mean there isn’t prep work to do. Make sure you have an idea of what you want to do and get everything you need.

Regardless of what you are planning, getting the most kissable face should be at the TOP of your list.

If you want to get extra smooches, you’ll need a kissable face, and that prep work starts NOW!
You’ll need about a week of prep to ensure your cheeks are worthy of her lips. Depending on if you have a beard, this process might look a little different, but the steps are pretty much the same. Here are a few things to do, regularly, over the next week or so, to make sure you have the most kissable face this Valentine’s Day!
1. CLEAN UP
Give yourself a good shave. If you don’t shave every day, make sure you time it so you’re ready to shave on Feb 14th. Get yourself a shaving cream that will protect your skin while delivering a closer shave. Something for sensitive skin is a great option, even if you don’t have sensitive skin. It will make sure you skin is properly protected and deliver to closer, smoother shave. Make sure you don’t cut yourself leading up to the day!
For our guys with a beard! We know its extra work, but you need to clean up your beard. Trim it down, and line it up. You can do this at home, or come into the studio and see our barbers. Either way, you should be looking your best. We all know the difference between a maintained beard and one that is unruly and overgrown. Keep up the maintenance, and make sure that you’re freshly lined up for February 14th.
2. WASH
Reach for a face cleanser that has a gentle exfoliate in it. This will wash away those dead skin cells leaving a squeaky-clean finish that’s equal parts soft and smooth. You should wash your face with a facial cleanser every day and night! If you have a beard don't forget your beard with beard wash every morning.
3. MOISTURIZE
You’re going to need a face moisturizer that will get the job done without being greasy or sticky. Opt for something that absorbs into the skin and does not sit on top of it. You’ll also want one that is infused with Vitamin C to get a brighter complexion. Make sure you apply to your cheeks, forehead, and lips!
If you have a beard, it can get pretty itchy. Not just for you but also your lady friend. You’ll need about a week to hydrate your beard if you have been neglecting it. Beard oil can help you out! Every morning apply 2 – 3 drops of beard oil to your beard and comb it through. As your beard starts to get hydrated, you’ll need less beard oil. This is the ultimate step in a softer and tamer beard. This is non-negotiable.
