How to trim your eyebrows

How to trim your eyebrows

Queen Street |

Were you aware that one of the facial characteristics that has shaped who you are today is your brows? We wouldn't be able to communicate our emotions without our brows. Like our eyelashes, it's actually intended to keep debris out of our eyes. Trimming those bad boys is always a good idea, whether they're subtle or bushy.
Here are some instructions for maintaining those troublesome brows.

STEP 1: BRUSH THEM OUT
The majority of the time, our brows are flat and can be challenging to cut. So grab a comb similar to our King's Crown Moustache comb and gently comb your brows so that the hairs all point in the direction of your forehead.

STEP 2: TRIM
Comb your brows vertically towards your forehead, stop the comb close to the edge of your brows, and start to trim. Make sure to go little by little, this step is a crucial step in the process.
Trim with scissors, make sure not to go half way up your eyebrows, we just want to trim a little bit.

STEP 3: VOLUME
This step should be done if you have bushy eyebrows - not so much for subtle eyebrows. Scissors are meant to help trim the long hairs but with a trimmer it actually helps with removing volume. We recommend using the Wahl Lithium Micro Groomsman Trimmer. Use the guard that is included and brush your eyebrows, starting close to your nose and moving towards your ears.

STEP 4: CLEAN UP
Here's where you start to use Tweezers. Remember, we're not trying to shape our brows but just to clean the little pesky hairs under or above the eyebrows. You can also pluck the hairs in between both your eyebrows (or the Unibrow). Plucking or even waxing is the best way to go.
Last step, is to comb your brows back to where they usually land. To help the hairs go back, you can wet them with water then comb them through.

We totally understand that this process could be a bit overwhelming, but at least there are professionals who can help you out. Here at King's Crown, we offer a complementary eyebrow trim with each hair cut! We also provide waxing and threading services if you'd like to get rid of the little hairs around your brows.
