King’s Crown sold shaving tools and accessories meant for the man who adores authenticity. Each razor and shave brush was handcrafted from all around the globe.
IT WAS ONLY NATURAL THAT GENTS HQ ATTEND THE GENTLEMEN’S EXPO THIS PAST WEEKEND.
Gentlemen’s Expo was held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on November 14-16th and hosted hundreds of booths that were related to everything involved with being a gentleman; having a gentleman’s accessories, looking like a gentleman, and even smelling like a gentleman.
An interesting and influential list of guests attended last weekend, including former UFC champion Georges St. Pierre, former Toronto Maple Leaf Gary Roberts, and technology evangelist Marc Saltzman. However the main stage was not limited to just men, as Sexologist Dr. Jess also attended and performed on the main stage. You can see our interview with her below:
The vendors that set up shop at the Gentlemen’s Expo varied in interests and were extremely creative. One booth, The Brew Box Company, was giving out samples of Downhill Pale Ale. As we tasted this refreshing delightful beer, they described the richness of the ale, how it was brewed and how it can be delivered to your doorstep. The Brew Box Company helps out smaller breweries by delivering craft beer to their customers.
Beer lovers can sign up on the Brew Box Company website, pay a small fee every month, and have locally crafted beer all across Ontario delivered to their house which they would not be able to find at a beer store or an LCBO. They truly help out the little guys. A special offer the Brew box Company included was the Discovery Brew Box, a container full of beer totalling out to 4L of craft beer per box, shipping included, with 3 uniquely different craft beers delivered to your door for $55 a month.
Another incredible booth we were particularly impressed with was King’s Crown. Created by the Weyersberg family, the booth encompassed everything that the Gentlemen’s Expo was about. King’s Crown sold shaving tools and accessories meant for the man who adores authenticity. Each razor and shave brush was handcrafted from all around the globe, some coming from Florence, Italy, to Solingen, Germany.
The razors and straight razors were unique, beautifully crafted from deer antlers, and had the ability to interchange between blades from other shaving companies. Along with these came shaving creams for men, leather accessories to store the shaving materials, and hand crafted pocket combs (made from plastics that were non-harmful to the environment) which varied in design to fit the purposes of combing your head hair and facial hair. King’s Crown was a prestigious booth, and gave us plenty of material to put on our Christmas wish list.
DAMON SNIDER, THE FOUNDER OF TYPE-D LIVING IS A GURU OF DUDE-ISM.
Snider, who also had a booth set up at the Gentlemen’s Expo and was also performing on the main stage discussed his business and how important it is for gentlemen to decorate their homes. Staying away from the term “man cave,” Snider prefers to give each of his client’s a brand new, classy look for their interiors that will hopefully impress any woman. Take a look at what he has to say:
The Gentlemen’s Expo hosted a wide variety of other booths and vendors. Walking around, we were able to explore different flavours of wine, indulge in the newest craft beer, participate in mini putt and hockey games, get our hands dirty (and our faces clean) with ManUp Products Inc., and fully experience everything pertaining to the idea of being a gentleman. It was hard to leave.
